The Price of Gas is ridiculous!
As a citizen of the State of Mississippi, I can not understand why we can't declare a state of emergency and work out a deal to drill for the oil that exists along our coastline. I believe that one of the major or minor oil companies would split the profit 50-50 and allow our state to do away with the state income taxes and lower the cost of car tags and property tax. In addition, our state should implement alternative energy sources. We always here about exploring and discussing and investigating... its time for action! Nuclear, wind and solar power can be implemented across the state. Bring in the power companies and get the best deal with the most investment.
In addition, let the states that are willing to seek to increase oil production reap the benefits of low prices; and those who are not willing to drill for oil should pay higher prices,
I may throw my name into the hat as a Gubernatorial Candidate. Any action is better than no action. Words alone are worthless!
